Norsok M650 defines and controls the Manufacturer’s systems of production, and accreditation is provided after strict auditing and inspection. Norsok M630 provides Material Data Sheets (MDS) for most common materials, they define and control the individual manufacturing and testing requirements for a particular material.

The Material Data Sheets typically enhance the material standards by defining heat treatment lots, test sample locations, mechanical and metallurgical testing and NDT testing. Typical example of enhanced mechanical testing shown below.
